Sometimes, I just have to put blogging on hold. Sometimes
it’s because I’m so busy but normally it’s because I just lose inspiration. If
blogging or youtubing starts to feel like it’s becoming a chore then I don’t
want to do it anymore and then suddenly, one day I’ll get hit by a lightning
bolt of ‘yeah, let’s do this!’ and here is the result!
Now I - L
O V E - lipsticks so I’ve decided to finally do a
‘Lipstick Collection’ post.
I’d love to say I have loads MAC lipsticks but I don’t, I
have three and six other branded lippys to share with you. (You never know,
maybe one day I’ll have more)
Pinks
L-R: Pomegranate; Shocking Coral; Funtime Fuchsia, Bubblegum |
Pomegranate, No7 Stay Perfect
This No7
was a ‘freebie’ from boots after buying three of their products. I chose this
with the help on my best friend, as I was reaching for the nudes, (my safety
blanket) and I got thoroughly told off. So we went for a bright pink/fuchsia
instead.
This is a
deep pink, which is halfway between a red hue and a purple hue. It’s quite a
sophisticated office colour, if you apply with a brush to control the boldness.
Shocking Coral, Maybelline ColorSensational
This was a
brave move by me, it wasn’t a colour I was used to reaching for at the
Maybelline counter. I’ve had it for a while now but hardly used it until
recently. It’s very easy to apply and has good staying power.
Funtime Fuchsia, Rimmel Moisture Renewal
This was
actually one of my first lipsticks I owned. This has a very purple sheen to it,
if you catch it in the right light. I do enjoy it though. Like I said
previously, I never wore any of my original lipsticks as I was in college and
bright coral lipsticks weren’t really acceptable. Recently going into an office
job, it’s at my disposal to play with various colours and make up looks – so
this is a definite first colour to start with.
Bubblegum, Collection Lasting Colour
Now this is
a BRAVE shade, I’m still debating keeping this as I really don’t know when I’m
going to wear it! This is a true baby/Barbie pink lipstick. I do like it with
either a bare or full on eye though.
Nudes
L to R: Creme Cup, Faux and The One |
Crème Cup, Mac Cremesheen
This one is
a perfect, ‘your lips but better’ lipstick for me. It’s a pretty baby pink/nude
colour. I wear this with a Rimmel Liner or a Mac Liner
Faux, Mac Satin
This is a
massively popular lipstick shade from Mac. Kylie Jenner as previously said she
loves the Faux lip liner and since then, they flew off of the shelves.
The One, Revolution
This is a lovely basic nude, that
doesn’t wash my pale self out. This was a definite go to when I was younger and
this is actually a new tube after losing my first!
Reds
L to R: Hot Tahiti and Fatal Red |
Hot Tahiti, Mac Glaze
I have loved this shade over the
summer, (my bestie also loved it the other weekend – hence the shape!) it’s a
beautiful off-red lipstick, and because it’s a sheer glaze, it’s very
buildable.
Fatal Red, Maybelline ColorSensational
This is a very popular type of red as
I believe it is a ‘blue toned red’, (think Ruby Woo) and it makes my skin look
flawless. It’s a perfect Christmas Party colour!
