Occasionally I do a low-key detox. Sometimes I'll just cut out processed sugar, simple carbs, caffeine and alcohol for a couple week, and other times I'll do a three to five day cleanse, consuming only juices and vegan, raw food. Doing a cleanse is a great way to give your digestive system a break and recharge your mind. If you're going to do a detox, be responsible about it. Make sure you get the calories and nutrients you need. Make sure you're prepared. It's important to eat healthily before doing a cleanse, and the same applies after you finish one.
